I know the Duke of New York.
You will likely never discover him.
But he is a real Royal in a city of phony Royals.
In this city where all are searching to grasp for idols,
the true celebrities are walking amongst us, hidden from plain sight
and
front page status.
Those you see are manufactured idols.
In this city of subterranean gems you must dig
deeper still to find the diamonds.
I know such a treasure and I know where it is buried deep.
The Duke of New York won't ever adorn your daily papers, television
or magazines.
The Duke is a hidden creature who weaves thorough the city like a
graceful ballet dancer.
He navigates the streets like a fearless Grand Prix racer.
We have no need for celebrity status in the eyes of others.
I know that I glide with a royal of the royal-less.
This is not a place of red carpets; this is a city of whispered exultation.
I know the Duke.
